Demolishing Sarge's Store

Mt. Lafayette      January 11, 2007

2.6 miles to the Greenleaf Hut. An excellent diversion for when you're lacking snow at the lower elevations. Just bring your trusty Wiemerauner. Don't forget his coat, it's cold up there in Franconia Notch.

Breaking tree line. A really neat area with stunted evergreens that never get to grow because of the climate. No problem with lack of snow here. And- we were breaking trail. First tracks.

The Greenleaf Hut. A really cool place (literally sometimes) even if you can't get inside during the wintertime. Just get on the leeward side to stay out of the wind. Today we get to hangout on the porch. A bench and everything. Duke says- this beats skiing or snowmobiling, hands (paws) down for sure.

What you came to see!!

It was a little too cold to take Duke to the top of Lafayette today. Maybe the next time. He enjoyed the chicken soup we spilt on the snow and had no complaints.

The only thing more beautiful than this is that new Four Winns 200 Horizon sitting in our heated showroom. It's our last 2006 leftover and a great deal for a lot of family fun and lifetime memories. Call Duke for more info: (603) 524-8380.
