2011 NH Boating Safety Classes

 

 The NH Boating Safety Classes are running strong at Winnisquam Marine. These classes are not boring at all. The time fly's by. The instructors use real world examples in their teaching and everybody loves the classes. Some topics you'll be covering: Boat types and features, Registration requirements, Safety equipment requirements (excellent review of life jackets), Night lighting requirements, Proper navigation rules/guidelines, Buoy identification, Proper anchoring procedures, Safe trailering tips, Avoiding common accidents, Proper rescue technique, Safe water sport guidelines and more, more, more...

Classes not assigned for 2012-Typically Winnisquam Marine hosts classes in June/July/August

There is also a proctored exam test that the State of NH offers from time to time. This class is a test only, that you can take if you've studied the online info and passed the pre-test. The mail-in and online test are no longer valid in the state of NH. You must take and pass the proctored exam now. For more info please call the State's phone number above.

 

 

The State of NH is also offering further information and other Boating Safety Classes through the following website-

www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/ss/index.html -This is the official State of NH site. Hit the "Boating Education" button for more info.

 

There is now a $30 charge for the class. Well worth it. Refreshments are served by the Marina. You must have a valid photo ID, attend the class(s) and obtain a 80% final exam test score to receive your Boating Certificate. It's easy- You'll love it. Please understand that you must register to attend the classes. We can comfortably seat 30 participants.
